Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts

Addition of a new Performing Arts Center to the existing high school in the Arts District of Downtown Dallas, and the addition of a new academic wing and rehabilitation to the 1922 building utilizing sustainable design and construction practices. The performance space will include band, choir and studios along with teaching areas, black box, auditorium and a media center. 45 teaching spaces will be added as well as classrooms, visual arts labs, dining and kitchen areas. The structure includes concrete frames, exposed concrete, and a masonry exterior. Total additions will be 178,000 SF.
