Dallas, TX - The Dallas office of Fort Worth based construction services company Thos. S. Byrne, Ltd. is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Loinette as Vice President and Chief Estimator for the Dallas Division office. Formerly a senior estimating executive with Manhattan Construction Company, Loinette is well-known in the industry for his outstanding reputation in conceptual, preconstruction, and hard bid estimating. With a total of thirty-two years of experience in estimating for national construction companies, Loinette is looking forward to building the Byrne organization as well as buildings in the Dallas area. " Having the authority and responsibility of building a business appeals to Loinette, who plans to make Byrne even more competitive. Specializing in the preconstruction services side of projects gives Loinette the opportunity to impact a job during the design phase. He is particularly adept at discovering the key drivers of a particular project and identifying the components that will make it successful. The driver of a project might be a rare type of granite façade for a high profile museum or a complex security system for a jail. The driver is successful when it complies with all of the project criteria, and can be kept within the parameters of the project budget. Loinette's take on the current market, which he views as dormant, is that a company like Byrne, known for high quality, high-end projects, will be the first to fill the void in future market demand for skilled construction services in healthcare, hi tech office buildings and environmentally friendly, "green" projects. The key, according to Loinette, is to stay ahead of technology and innovations in building, not just in the procurement process, but by keeping pace with architects and owners. Some of his favorite projects are RiverCenter Mall in San Antonio, The Ballpark in Arlington and Brooks Army Hospital.
